Not only are the Swanson’s our closest friends, they’re also my longest running clients. They’ve been with me from the very beginning of me starting my journey as a photographer and have stuck with me. I’m so blessed to have them in my corner on this crazy journey. And if I’m adding correctly, I believe that this will be our 9th family shoot together.
I’ve been so lucky to be able to document the growth of their family every year. It’s even more bittersweet this year since Shane, their oldest, will be in college next year. The whole time I was editing this session I kept thinking back to all of our old shoots and how at our very first shoot together he borrowed my daughter, Sydney’s, fedora to wear. He was so little. And to see him now as a strong, bright, kind-hearted young man is truly amazing. And this spring I will be taking his senior photos…. time needs to slow down!
Our shoots are always family affairs – we all clear our schedules to get together for the shoot and to hang out afterwards. To say that we love this family is an understatement!
