Orange County is beautiful, but we are kind of limited in accessible open spaces for photographers. Many of the parks require permits, or they’re shut down during the hours you need to shoot. Finding flower fields isn’t necessarily a problem. Finding flower fields that are accessible with the right lighting can be.
Maddie most definitely wanted a flower field for her senior session. We headed down to San Juan Capistrano where I KNEW there was a massive flower field, only to find that it had been completely closed off for a construction project (also a very Orange County thing to happen). We made a quick detour to Cedar Grove Park in Tustin that happened to be covered in mustard flowers at that particular time.
The shoot turned out to be gorgeous and Maddie got the flower field she wanted (yay!).
Maddie will be attending the University of California, Santa Barbara (go Gauchos!). Have an amazing time, Maddie!
