There are a lot of reasons why so many parents have come to love Hoag Hospital in Irvine. Their delivery center is ready for pretty much every type of birthing style. They have a specialty Maternal-Fetal Medicine department ready to assist with high-risk deliveries. Should your baby need extra care following delivery, they will be in a nursery right next to the maternity suites. This hospital is extremely midwife- and doula-friendly, and they offer natural options for childbirth, including aqua tubs. They are going to work with you to create your birth plan so you can have a positive experience!
Orange Coast Medical Center | MemorialCare

Orange Coast Medical Center is another center that is all about helping you have your perfect delivery. This is the only community hospital program in the OC to have Certified Nurse Midwives on staff. While you are able to go the traditional route with an OB-GYN, you can plan an unmedicated birth where your voice will be at the center. They have classes you can take prior to your due date so you can enter into labor feeling confident. Their rooms are spacious and private, giving you a cozy place where you can meet your baby for the very first time.
South Coast Midwifery

I adore South Coast Midwifery because they let you have the home birth experience without the prep. This modern and comfortable birthing center has private rooms designed to feel like your Orange County home. Each space has a cozy bed as well as a large birthing tub that you can use throughout your labor. You will be able to determine everything from the lighting to the music. Once your baby is born, you will spend a few hours bonding before it’s time to go home and recover in your own space. The midwives prioritize safety and will transport you to a nearby hospital if they feel as though it’s necessary. Their goal is to make sure you can have a birth experience you can treasure for years to come!
