Ben’s Senior Session | Old Town Tustin Session | Orange County Senior Photographer

2021

Old Town Tustin is quickly becoming a favorite place amongst my clients for both senior and family shoots! And with good reason… it has gorgeous brick, colored walls, unique buildings and such a fun atmosphere. Plus we all love supporting our local Tustin businesses (since Tustin is THE best city in Orange County!). 🙂

We’ve known Ben since, I think, kindergarten. He was often in the same classes as my daughter and it feels like all these kids just grew SO fast. Ben is also a 2020 kid who didn’t really get a true Freshman year, which is why we ended up taking his pictures a year later than normal.

We also got to take pictures with Ben’s dog, Rocky!

Ben will be attending UCLA in the fall with my daughter (GO Bruins!) so they’re back together again! I hope you have an amazing experience, Ben!

Don’t forget to schedule those senior sessions. You don’t want to miss out on the change to document this amazing time in your graduating senior’s life!

NAVIGATING SENIOR PORTRAITS IN A DIGITAL AGE

In today’s digital age, the way we capture, share, and preserve our precious memories has evolved significantly. Senior portraits are no exception to this trend. As an Orange County senior photographer, I understand the importance of not only creating stunning senior portraits but also helping seniors and their families navigate the digital landscape. In this blog post, we’ll explore how senior portraits in Orange County have adapted to the digital age and how to ensure your images are shared, enjoyed, and preserved for generations to come.

The Shift to Digital Senior Portraits

Gone are the days of physical prints as the sole medium for senior portraits. In the digital age, senior portraits have transformed in several ways:

  1. Digital Galleries: Senior portraits are often delivered through digital galleries, allowing for easy access and sharing with family and friends.
  2. Social Media Sharing: Seniors can showcase their portraits on social media platforms, sharing their achievements and milestones with a global audience.
  3. Online Albums: Online albums and digital photo books have replaced traditional photo albums, offering a dynamic way to view and share senior portraits.
  4. Preservation: Digital files provide a secure and space-efficient way to preserve senior portraits for generations without the risk of physical degradation.

Sharing Your Senior Portraits

Sharing your senior portraits with loved ones and on social media can be a joyful experience. Here are some tips for effective sharing:

  1. Create a Social Media Album: Dedicate an album on your social media profiles to showcase your senior portraits. Include captions that reflect your journey and achievements.
  2. Print Copies for Family: While digital sharing is convenient, consider printing a few select portraits for family members, particularly grandparents who may appreciate a physical keepsake.
  3. Announcement Cards: Use your senior portraits on announcement cards or graduation invitations, allowing you to share your achievements with a personal touch.
  4. Professional Prints: For a high-quality display, invest in professional prints of your favorite senior portraits to hang in your home or gift to loved ones.

Preserving Your Digital Memories

Preserving your senior portraits in the digital age is essential to ensure they endure for years to come. Here’s how to safeguard your images:

  1. Backup: Regularly back up your digital image files to multiple devices or cloud storage platforms to prevent loss due to hardware failure.
  2. Metadata Management: Maintain detailed metadata, including the date, location, and names of individuals in each image, to provide context for future generations.
  3. Prints as Keepsakes: Consider creating physical prints or albums as tangible keepsakes that can be passed down through your family.
  4. Professional Archival Services: Explore professional archival services that specialize in preserving digital images for the long term.

Conclusion

Senior portraits in Orange County have adapted beautifully to the digital age, offering new opportunities for sharing, celebrating achievements, and preserving memories. By understanding the digital landscape and following these tips, you can ensure that your senior portraits remain a cherished part of your family’s history.
