Whether they are bouncing off the furniture or running across the park, kids are constantly looking for the next great adventure. As parents, it’s our job to find activities that will quench that thirst while also letting them get out some of that seemingly endless energy. Now, it’s just a matter of where you can go the next time you need to give your child something to do. As an Orange County photographer, I adore working with families to plan photo sessions so they can make the most of every moment. If you are on the search for things to do in Orange County with kids, here’s a list of places I always recommend!
29 Hubble, Irvine, California 92618
Pretend City Children’s Museum gives your Orange County kids the chance to step into a miniature city so they can learn more about how the world works. As your little one strolls down the street, they can stop into pretend restaurants, libraries, and stores. The center has a confined space where you can stay with your infant while keeping older siblings in full view.
670 Spectrum Center Dr., Irvine, California 92618
While Irvine Spectrum Center remains one of my favorite retail Orange County therapy destinations, they have tons of attractions for kids of all ages. From their giant ferris wheel to their ice rink, you are going to have the perfect family activity! Be sure to keep watching the events page so you never have to miss a thing.
5380 ¾ University Drive, Irvine, California 92612
Tanaka Farms is home to some of the best produce in all of Southern California. Their schedule is constantly loaded with family-friendly activities, including u-pick fruit and Christmas tree fields. While you’re there, you can check out their fabulous seasonal menu served up at their on-site grill.
1 Irvine Park Road, Orange, California 92869
If your kid is really into trains, the Irvine Park Railroad needs to be at the top of your Orange County things to do list! Their railroad lets you board a real-life train and take a tour of the park. While you’re there, you can check out other activities, such as the Orange County Zoo, horseback rides, and paddle boat rentals.
8039 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, California 90620
Knott’s Berry Farm is pretty much a family tradition for every resident with kids of Orange County. This amusement park is packed with tons of activities for kids of all ages. Throughout the summertime, be sure to bring your swimsuit so you don’t have to miss out on any of the waterslides at Knott’s Soak City.
Anaheim, California 92802
