Local Spotlight Series: The Breezy Doula

Welcome to The Breezy Doula, a safe and nurturing space for new and expecting parents. Founded in 2022 by Bree Zaccaro CD(DONA), SpBCPE, ICCE, HBCE, this practice supports every step of the birth and postpartum journey across Orange County, Los Angeles, Ventura, and San Diego.
A Journey Born from Personal Experience
Bree founded this practice because of her own positive birth experiences. She enjoyed transformative births with her two children, and she wanted to share that empowerment with other moms. Moreover, her work with Fit4Mom in 2018 allowed her to teach prenatal and postpartum fitness. During those classes, she listened to many birth stories—both uplifting and challenging. Consequently, she questioned why some moms enjoyed positive experiences while others did not. She was intent on exploring how thorough childbirth education and reliable support can reduce unnecessary medical interventions.
Empowering Education and Support
Bree became a certified doula in 2022 through DONA International. Today, she leads a team of 20 experienced doulas who deliver compassionate, informed care. In addition, The Breezy Doula offers a range of services:
- They provide birth and postpartum doula support, including day and overnight care.
- They offer childbirth education courses in HypnoBirthing and Spinning Babies.
- They give expert lactation support.
These services empower families by making sure every mom learns about her choices and receives the support she needs.
Building Community and Collaboration
The Breezy Doula prides themselves on making strong community connections. They proudly offer classes in Laguna Hills at Pelvic Sanity, and host free events like “Bumps and Bubbly” at The Mommy Center. Furthermore, they collaborate with local acupuncturists, chiropractors, lactation experts, and counselors to build a strong network of care.
Celebrating Success and Looking Ahead
One of the most rewarding aspects of their work is witnessing the “aha” moments during their classes. Families come in with doubts and leave empowered, ready to embrace the beautiful journey of birth. Being there to support them during their birthing process is nothing short of magical. As demand for compassionate care grew, they quickly expanded from a solo practice to a robust team of 20 doulas, ensuring that they can support as many families as possible.
