If you’re an expecting parent or raising little ones under three in Orange County, The Mommy Center in Laguna Hills is the place where community, education, and support come together. Since 2021—and under the ownership of Michelle, a mom of five and passionate advocate for parents since 2024—this cozy, welcoming space has been dedicated to helping families thrive.
With a mission to help parents feel informed, confident, and supported, The Mommy Center offers a variety of classes, workshops, and events designed to make the parenting journey a little smoother and a lot more joyful.
Michelle’s journey to ownership is deeply personal. After experiencing difficult postpartum recoveries herself, she recognized how vital it is for moms to have nonjudgmental support, emotional safety, and practical resources during this transformative time.
Her background in elementary education, combined with certifications as a Play Therapy Practitioner and Postpartum Transition Coach, allows her to design classes and programs that are both developmentally enriching and emotionally supportive. She’s been a biological mom, foster mom, and adoptive mom—experiences that fuel her ability to meet parents right where they are.
The Mommy Center specializes in programs for expecting parents and those with children ages 0–3.
Popular offerings include:
Prenatal Classes – Prepare for birth and early parenthood with research-based guidance.
Free Pregnancy Nights – Connect with other moms-to-be in a supportive space.
Postpartum Mommy & Me – Build confidence while bonding with your baby.
Child Development Workshops – Learn how to nurture your child’s milestones.
Mom’s Nights Out & Family Social Events – Because parents need fun too!
Dad Class – A new program designed just for fathers to share, connect, and learn.
Parent/Child Music Classes & Playgroups – Play-based learning for little ones.
Unlike large chains, The Mommy Center is a single-location small business focused solely on South Orange County families. When you walk through the doors, you’re not just another parent—you’re part of a tight-knit community where Michelle and her team know you and your child by name.
The center partners with 20+ local women-owned businesses, bringing in expert speakers for parenting seminars, development workshops, and special events. Every speaker is a mom herself, hand-selected for her expertise and relatable approach.
Supporting the OC community is at the heart of The Mommy Center’s mission. Ongoing community outreach includes:
Free monthly pregnancy loss healing circles
Support mornings for moms of neurodivergent children
Music classes for neurodivergent kids
Free child development workshops
Monthly volunteer music classes at GiGi’s Playhouse for teens with Down Syndrome
Located right off the freeway in Laguna Hills, The Mommy Center is easily accessible for parents from Tustin to San Clemente. The area’s strong parenting community makes it an ideal home for programs that encourage connection, education, and growth.
Michelle has big plans for the future, including:
Offering more frequent prenatal classes
Starting postpartum support groups more often
Eventually expanding to a larger space to serve even more families
The newest addition—the Dad Class—is already making waves, giving men a safe space to connect and grow as parents.
