Oh how I love this family! Lauren used to be a (fabulous, wonderful, rock-star) teacher at our elementary school. My Sydney was lucky enough to be in her 5th grade class, but during that time she became more than just her teacher… she became a therapist and confidant who helped guide me as a mom through some pretty interesting girl drama (something I will forever be grateful for).
Due to some family scheduling issues on my part, I ended up bringing both my girls on the shoot with me – and boy did that work out well. Sydney bonded with baby Jack immediately and he couldn’t help but smile that infectious smile every time he saw her. And Kendall and Jack spent half the time playing off to the side with a little parrot figurine (which you can see in the images since Jack never wanted to put it down). It ended up making what could have been a stressful shoot pretty easy!
And throughout the whole shoot, as I watched Lauren get drooled on and she and James wrangling their two little one’s I could see what truly awesome parents they are – they take it all in with a great perspective and a fabulous sense of humor!
