The Petrie Kids

I feel lucky to have had the chance to photograph the Petrie kids… our kids have taken swim lessons with them for the last three years and the Petrie family is nothing short of wonderful! The kids are funny, polite, incredibly bright… all the things that make kids lovable AND fun to take pictures of! I especially have a soft spot for the youngest, Graham, because he and my daughter Kendall have a little “crush” on each other. It consists of Kendall playing hard to get and Graham acting his goofiest for her to laugh (isn’t that how most relationships start?) 🙂  Gracie was an absolute pro in front of the camera, and she has perfected the “adorable and aloof” model pose which I absolutely adored! And Aiden — all I can say is WOW! The camera adored this kid — photogenic and a great personality.  We also took a few pictures of their cousins, Lucas and Maia which added to the fun.

The setting was taken at the beautiful home of Earl Petrie’s parents which has a full wrap around garden. I especially loved the “secret” garden in the back where a few of the shots were taken… unfortunately, the secret garden didn’t return the love. I left with lots of cuts and bruises from the roses! Fortunately, it was definitely worth the scrapes!
