Why Preparation Matters

There aren’t a lot of photographers offering luxury newborn photography sessions in Orange County. We are one of the few and we feel strongly that it’s by far the best approach to newborn photography there is. Our number one goal is taking care of our new moms from start to finish.

We know that bringing your newborn into the studio for their first portraits can feel overwhelming. Parents often wonder: What will the session be like? Will my baby cooperate? How long will it take?

The truth is, a luxury newborn photography session is designed to be calm, comfortable, and completely baby-led. From the moment you step into my Old Town Tustin studio, everything is taken care of so you can relax and enjoy this milestone.

Arrival at the Studio

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a warm, welcoming space. The studio is prepared before you get there:

  • The room is warmed to keep your baby cozy.

  • Props, wraps, and wardrobe are sanitized and ready.

  • Soft seating areas are available for parents to rest.

You’ll have time to feed, soothe, or cuddle your baby before we begin. There’s no rush—we follow your baby’s natural rhythm.

Baby-Led Flow

Every newborn session is baby-led. That means if your little one needs to eat, we pause. If they need rocking or soothing, we take the time.

This flexible approach keeps your baby comfortable and ensures your portraits reflect natural, peaceful moments rather than forced poses. Sessions typically last 2–3 hours, but the time is fluid to accommodate your baby’s needs.

You don’t need to bring anything except your baby. My studio includes a curated collection of:

Your newborn’s safety is my top priority. All posing is done gently, with constant support and awareness of your baby’s comfort. I never force a baby into a position. Instead, I guide them naturally, capturing their tiny details—their curled toes, wisps of hair, and sleepy expressions.

Ordering Appointment: From Portraits to Artwork

A luxury session doesn’t end with the photoshoot. After your images are ready, you’ll return about 2-3 weeks after your session for a design and ordering appointment. Together, we’ll choose the best way to showcase your portraits:

You’ll return to the studio for a personalized ordering appointment. Together, we’ll review your gallery and design custom artwork—albums, wall art, or both—that fit seamlessly into your home. I handle the entire process, from design to professional installation.
